Seattle, WA, USA (October 1, 2013) — All the screen test for the 10 DAYS IN A MADHOUSE World Wide Star Search are in. 164 brave and beautiful actresses submitted screen tests to play the lead role of Nellie Bly in the upcoming movie.

The feature length motion picture suspense thriller 10 DAYS IN A MADHOUSE will chronicle the real life experiences of 23 year old journalist Nellie Bly, called “the greatest reporter in America,” “fearless,” and, “daredevil reporter,” as, working for Joseph Pulitzer, she feigned mental illness to go undercover in the notorious Blackwell’s Island Woman’s Insane Asylum to expose atrocities, abuse rape and murder.

Director Timothy Hines and producers Susan Goforth, Donovan Le and Dr. James Lathrop, whose last movie was the critically acclaimed WAR OF THE WORLDS THE TRUE STORY, now in DVD and on demand, have concluded accepting auditions on YouTube, which you can see embedded on the 10 DAYS IN A MADHOUSE website. “Recognizable actresses from iconic films, TV shows theater and national commercials are amonst the very good selection of world class talent who have submitted their video tests,” says producer Susan Goforth.

On October 2nd, 50 finalists will be announced and the videos displayed for the world to vote on to select the star. On October 9th the winning audition and the top ten finalists will be announced. The top 10 finalist will be guaranteed a speaking role in the movie. The movie, which is partially being financed by an Indieogogo Campaign, will be a Screen Actors Guild production under New Media rules. Non union have also been allowed to apply. The World wide star search will decide who will play Nellie Bly based on each actress’es screen test.

At least 100 other roles are also being cast for the production that will begin shooting this Fall.
