New Statistics Raises Questions on Family Pets Exposure to Toxins

"Our pets bring us joy, relieve stress, and enrich our lives. They increase healthy hormones in humans such as cortisol and oxytocin. It is our responsibility to provide them with good food, water, and exercise, and to support them with healthy solutions to daily toxic exposures."
Information released in a recent study is raising questions whether pet owners are unknowingly exposing their furry family members to harmful toxins. Bioray, the natural detox company, is taking action to educate the public and raise awareness on what families can do to protect their pets from potentially harmful chemical exposure.

April 03, 2014. Bioray Inc, a manufacturer of liquid herbal tinctures for detoxification and organ support, is speaking out about the possible effects that environmental and other household toxins have on pets.  The company, known for their promotion and advocacy of common sense, policies on environmental toxins, spoke out to consumers to alert them to the dangers of everyday household products and the health of dogs and cats.

According to a recent report in 2013, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) in Urbana, Illinois, handled nearly 180,000 cases of pets being exposed to toxic substances. Insecticides, household products, rodenticides, as well as lawn and grass fertilizers were cited as some of the top common concerns.

Although this report distinguishes acute occurrences with pets, it is the daily exposure that has an accumulative effect. These toxins bio-accumulate in the fatty tissues and joints in our pets. Helping our four legged family members is just as important to their health and vitality. Environmental Working Groups unprecedented study found that companion dogs and cats were contaminated with 48 of 70 industrial chemicals tested, particularly mercury, flame retardants, stain treatments and grease resistant coatings.

“Our pets have their noses low to the ground stone ingesting toxins. They also continually lick their paws and private parts. These sites are high for ingesting heavy metals, chemicals, pesticides, and unwanted organisms. The key to healthy pets is to support their body's elimination pathways, such as the liver, kidneys, and bowels and to mobilize and bind these toxins for removal,” said company CEO, Stephanie Ray

The Company, which prides itself on providing timely, relevant information to its legions of dedicated supporters, also recommended specific combinations of BIORAY® products to safely support pets health even going as so far to offer recommendations based on the size and weight of the family pet.

“Our pets bring us joy, relieve stress, and enrich our lives. They increase healthy hormones in humans such as cortisol and oxytocin. It is our responsibility to provide them with good food, water, and exercise, and to support them with healthy solutions to daily toxic exposures,” Ray added.
