Global Mission for Children, a Child Sponsorship Charity Launches Fundraising Drive for the Children of Guinea Bissau, Africa

Bradenton, FL (Sharewellnewswire.com) September 12, 2012 - www.GlobalMissionforChildren.org(“GMFC”), has launched an aggressive fundraising effort to expand their reach in Africa to help more children from certain death as they have no food, clean water and medicine that the rest of the world would consider routine child immunizations. They are in desperate need of donations.

James Miller, Co-Founder and marketing director comments “These curable diseases kill tens of thousands of children each and every day.” GMFC is helping thousands of children and adults on the islands of Uno, Guinea Bissau, Niger Africa and Nepal, Asia. GMFC full time missionaries Jose & Sirlene Elison, who arrived on the island of Uno 8 ½ years ago explain “We are witnessing children dying every day in the areas we serve. We do everything we can but with limited donations we simply can’t keep up with the needs of the communities. The feeling we have by not having enough money to help these precious children by buying medicine is devastating.” 1,000 children die each hour in Africa and GMFC is doing something about it with the help of child sponsors.

GMFC is a Christian nonprofit that offers individuals the opportunity to sponsor a child of their choosing for just $1 a day. They serve all faiths, colors and creeds with no exceptions. The donations are pooled together and provide children and communities with necessities like clean water, medicine, food, education, spiritual nurture and hope for the very first time in their entire lives. They have 6 full time missionaries on the Island of Uno. A remote island off the coast of Guinea Bissau and is the 6th poorest Country in the world.

http://www.globalmissionforchildren.org feeds and medicate between 10-40 people per day out of a small, unsterilized, medical room they built. They have also built 6 schools that educate 465 children from kindergarten through the 5th grade and 6 churches where they worship the Lord Jesus and teach the villagers the “Good News” of God. “Many people have left the horrible cult of witchcraft and are coming to the Lord” James explains.
