According to Rugby England, a ballot system will distributed to World Cup ticket buyers beginning on September 1, 2014. Tickets for the final at Twickenham on 31 October are priced between £150 and £715 but separate child prices are only available for the bronze final outside of the pool stage.
Prices for the quarter and semi-final were also released with unveiling of the 2015 World Cup tickets, and will range between £95 and £515. Pool match tickets are available for as little at £60, with discounted tickets at £15 for adults and £7 for children obtainable for a variety of matches. However, discounted child tickets are only available for the bronze final outside of the pool stage.
As with London 2012 Summer Olympics, after tickets are first sold through travelling fan and hospitality packages and rugby clubs, such as hotels and vacation packages, the remainder will be distributed through the ballot system, an arrangement which was much criticized last summer as being unfair and greedy.
Throughout the 48 matches during the tournaments, Rugby tickets will be limited to four per person, but a number of family deals are available to help cater for groups larger than four during matches involving New Zealand and 1991 and 1999 winners Australia available at £70.
