Jacksonville, Fla. December – Christina Kajenski with The McCann Law Group, LLP arranged a holiday party at the Embassy Suites on Saturday, December 7, 2013 to celebrate the holidays and provide employees with greater networking opportunities outside of work. The McCann Law Group arranged the holiday party to boost company moral and enhance employee engagement.
The McCann Law Group reserved space at a local Embassy Suites to host the party. A celebratory holiday dinner was provided including a salad bar, turkey, ham, rolls, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, roasted redskin potatoes, stuffing and holiday deserts.
In addition to providing food and drinks, a DJ was hired to offer live entertainment for the party. Company employees were encouraged to bring a plus one to enjoy the night’s festivities.
The party started at 5 p.m. EST and concluded at roughly 10 p.m. EST. Hotel rooms were offered at a reduced rate on behalf of Embassy Suites in order to offer guests a place to stay for the night. A complimentary continental breakfast was also provided to any employees who reserved a room with Embassy Suites.
The McCann Law Group recently held an ugly sweater contest on Thursday, December 5, 2013. Company employees were encouraged to wear their ugliest holiday sweaters and the winner, David Holmes, was announced at the holiday party.
Other awards were also given out at the party according to votes from The McCann Law Group employees. Hollis Edwards in Resolutions took home the most awards including most popular, office clown, biggest prankster and a specialty award – “Most likely to walk around and ask people to vote for him.”
Josh Whitfield in Resolutions won the award for most athletic. Michelle Prater in Human Resources won the award for most creative. The lead Counsel in foreclosure defense, attorney Marlowe Fox, won the award for best writer. Loss mitigation consultant Liz Howell won most likely to work on a Saturday and client advocate Samantha won most likely to share their dessert.
The McCann Law Group saw a great company turnout at the party and looks forward to creating more events to promote further company engagement.
