In 2012, the average U.S. wedding budget was estimated at $28,000. Alaska was the least expensive place to get married, with costs that averaged $15,504. Manhattan, New York was the most expensive place in the U.S. to get married, with costs that average upwards of $76,678.
Based from the 2012 U.S. average of surveyed participants, the most popular wedding colors are blue, purple, green, and metallics.
The average age to wed for the bride is 29, while the average age for the groom is 31. The average number of wedding guests is 139, with a wedding party between 8 and 10. Generally, couples stay engaged for 14 months before tying the knot.
