Unique to the PIE 830 is the ability to operate as an isolated universal diagnostic transmitter. Connect your process input RTD sensor, thermocouple or pressure module to the 830 and it can act as a transmitter so you can see how the loop is REALLY functioning.
Our patented "Loop Diagnostic" technology allows simultaneous display of current, voltage and resistance of the loop along with our Current Leakage detection which will show the leakage current in a loop due to problems such as moisture and corrosion, a feature that no other calibrator has. The 830 can also auto detect 2,3 or 4 wire RTD's for quick determination that a wire is broken or shorted and comes with a built in continuity beeper.
Designed in the same small housing as our single function calibrators, the 830 combines sourcing and reading for 14 T/C types, 10 RTD curves, mA, mV, resistance, frequency and unlike other calibrators also sources pH. Add to that a selection of 32 different pressure modules and all the standard instrumentation at your site can be calibrated with one tool.
Extremely easy to use, the PIE 830 functions are controlled and setup with a simple menu style screen and two selection switches for fast and easy parameter settings. Our EZ dial allows for quick coarse adjustment and then fine tuning with a single knob.
