Artist Offers Custom Art in Kickstarter 100 Character Designs

Saint Louis, Missouri - On July 9th, 2014, Erin DuPont, a young illustrator from the midwest, launched a Kickstarter Campaign called 100 Character Designs in an effort to create unique characters based on her supporters.

"Taking requests like this encourages me to think outside the box and expand my skills. I called the project 100 Character Designs because it is going to give me a chance to explore different character types and create a wide range of unique character drawings." - Erin L DuPont, Project Creator.

Founded in 2009, Kickstarter is a crowdfunding tool that allows patrons to support the arts through pledges or donations that can be redeemed for rewards. More and more, artists are using Kickstarter to engage with their supporter base and finance new projects.

"Every backer on the project that contributes a minimum of five dollars will receive an original drawing from the artist of themselves, a family member, or original character of their own." - Erin L DuPont, Project Creator.

Having a digital 'character' for one's twitter or facebook profile is a growing trend among social media savy adults. This project gives backers the opportunity to have a character created of themselves or a loved one.

The 100 Character Designs project closes on August 8th, 2014. All proceeds will be used to upgrade the artist’s tools, allowing her to create greater works and additional future Kickstarter campaigns. For more information, check out the Kickstarter here or contact the creator below.
