HYPERJOLT

The Hyperjolt © is a radical carving vehicle shaped like a torpedo. It’s not a car nor a motorcycle, but it retains features from both categories. The vehicle is equipped with two liquid cooled electric motors. It can lean into curves like the Mercedes F300 Lifejet prototype and it uses superbike wheels to carve in long curves. To recharge its batteries on the fly, it will use a wireless inductive charger.

When I Imagined this concept, I wanted to create a cool, fast and exhilarating commuter that could also transport two people with their luggage on a week-end expedition. (The luggage bay slides open behind the passenger). I also wanted the driver and pilot to live an immersive experience, close to the ground with good front & lateral views. The cockpit opens up like a fighter jet and the tandem seat makes it possible to have a narrower body and lower drag. A roadster version with no canopy could also be envisionned.

A cool option would be to equip the Hyperjolt with a 4 wheel steering system instead of a carving mechanism. Engineering a ‘smart’ assisted 4wd system that can steer and lean at the same time will be tricky, and most buyers will probably opt for one of the two but not both. I have therefore presented the two versions but they don’t necessarily come together.

I would like to thank Boris Schwarzer who created the renderings & came up with the ‘Hyperjolt’ name for this concept!
